ZAPPHY – I still remember, while in the USA when you guys just blew everyone's head with the song "Give it to me good". It was a non-sense! But then, after the first album, things didn't work out very fine for the band. Why that?

Trixter/Steve Brown – Bad timing ...the first cd came out in 1990..the tail end of the POP METAL revolution, then grunge took over. But we did so many great things, it's hard to complain.

ZAPPHY – One thing that surprised me, I always thought that you were a band the appeared in the 90's, but you guys are on the road since 1983! Why did it take so long to be a huge success?

Trixter/Steve Brown – Yes, I started the band when I was 12 years old with singer PETE LORAN.It took us time to build it up. We became the biggest club draw in NJ around 1988 and soon after we got signed to MCA/ MECHANIC records.

ZAPPHY – I always expected a new album since the last one I had notice of (Undercovers), but unfortunately, in 1995 the band broke-up. What happened then? We all needed to do different things.

Trixter/Steve Brown – wanted to front my own bands which I did w/ Pj. Throwan rocks, Soaked, 40ft. ringo, stereo fallout...made a ton a great music. It was a growing up process for all of us.

ZAPPHY – 13 years later (in 2007 I believe) the got together for a new tour in the USA, but you guys also made some shows in Japan, isn't that correct? Is Europe and the Asian countries the new land for the bands from the 80's and the 90's, or it was a natural course?

Trixter/Steve Brown – The time came for us to get back together. We are having so much fun. TRIXTER "ALIVE IN JAPAN" was recorded in 1993 on our Japanese tour. www.trixterrocks.com to get all things TRIXTER. We are still waiting for our european & Asian tour dates for 2009. I can't wait!!!

ZAPPHY – What about your brazilian fans? Will them see you guys here one day? Is Brazil part of your future plans?

Trixter/Steve Brown – We have a ton of Brazilian fans. Just waiting on the promoters to book a tour for us

ZAPPHY – Tell us a little bit of your new album (live in Japan). How did it come true?

Trixter/Steve Brown – when we went to Japan in May 1993 we played 2 shows and recorded them. The cd is from Club citta is tokyo, japan. it was blast rocking out with 3,000 Japanese trixter heads. The cd also features to new songs.

ZAPPHY – What are your plans for the future? A new album? A DVD?

Trixter/Steve Brown – We have a "BEST OF " cd out...and we are working on 3 new DVD'S...2 -2008 shows ( rock-fest + myth) and "live at the cajun dome 1991" all dvd's will have bonus features( the trixter videos, photo galleries..dolby digital sound. There is also some talk of us doing a brand new TRIXTER cd.We will see if the deals come thru!!!

ZAPPHY – Please, give a message for your brazilian fans and for the readers of ZAPPHY magazine!

Trixter/Steve Brown – To all of you...THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all of your support in TRIXTER. We cannot wait to rock BRAZIL...hope to see you in 2009!!
