Entrevista Camryn - English version

ZAPPHY – I have listened very carefully two songs from you. One is an appetizer from your new and coming album and another is already really well known on the net. So let’s talk a little bit about each one. When did the song “I love being a girl!” happen?

CAMYRN - This song was written a couple years back. This song is so fun and reminds me of all the things I do to have fun!!

ZAPPHY - Why releasing it on the net before than releasing it as a single?

CAMYRN - I just want to give my fans a little taste of what there is on the album. I think my friends and fans and peers can really get a good idea of my music on the net before buying the album. I hope they like it.

ZAPPHY – The song “Wait and see”, I am 110% sure that it is going to become the summer smashing hit, not only in the USA but around the world! Its good and catchy! Makes feel like listening to it all day long! But the title sounds, sometimes like you answering back some critics, or it is just in my mind?

CAMYRN - Actually the song is really just about doing things in your life that you believe in and not waiting around for people to approve. I am an independent spirit and the song really shows that.

ZAPPHY – This new album, it will have the hit “Wait and see”, but what else will Camryn’s fans have on it! When will it be released? Will it be worldwide or, at a first moment, only in the USA?

CAMYRN - The album will be a summer release. I have a bunch of different types of songs on the album. We are going to release this album in the United States then worldwide.

ZAPPHY – Will a DVD also be released? I ask this because as you have released the song “wait and see”, the video came out! Will they both be released or the fans will have to wait a little bit?

CAMYRN - The video for Wait and See will be released on the dvd extra for the movie “Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer.” The movie comes out June 10th and 3 of my songs are featured in the movie.

ZAPPHY – One thing I have heard here, is that you have already toured with Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers, and before you have even released the album? How was the experience, specially, because if I am not wrong, you have made a song and posted a video for Bieber in You Tube (“are you a belieber?”).

CAMYRN - No I have not toured with Justin Beiber but that would be a huge dream of mine. I love the Jonas Brothers as well. They all have great talent and I hope to someday sing with them.

ZAPPHY – How are dealing with the trio School + studio + touring? I am not taking by mistake you are 11 or 12 years old and you still go to school, right?

CAMYRN - I am 11. Life is very busy but it is so fun. I am lucky to be able to have a career and go to school. Singing is my life. Some kids have hobbies and play games I like to sing. I just try and keep a balance but it is hard to get everything in. Getting good grades is important to me and having friendships!!

ZAPPHY – As I contacted you, I noticed that you love tweeting and contacting your fans through twitter and Myspace. Do you think that after releasing the new album, will you be able to keep on tweeting and answering back your fans?

CAMYRN - I will always try and stay connected to my fans and friends. It is a great way to meet new people and I have fun talking to them. I guess for now it is easy because it is not overwhelming. But I think a great artist ALWAYS stays connected to the kids or people that listen to their music.

ZAPPHY – I also heard that, at a very first moment, you didn’t believe you had what it takes to become a musician and singer. How did this happen? When you started believing that you could really becoming an artist?

CAMYRN - Well my mom would call her friends and make me sing songs to them from a really early age. I used to think she was crazy. But then as I got older I realized I sang all the time. Then I noticed my voice was getting better and better the more I practiced. That is really when I knew that I had a shot at making this something I did seriously. My mom had me record a song her friend wrote and that is when it became a real thing.

ZAPPHY – Hopefully, will you put Brazil in your list when you start touring around the world?

CAMYRN - YES. My dad loves Brazil. It is his favorite place to visit. He goes there once a year. I want to visit the rainforest and help save the trees. I like Brazil. I hope I can go there really soon. Maybe I can do a concert to help save the forest!

ZAPPHY – A message to your fans and to the readers from ZAPPHY magazine?

CAMYRN - I just want to say thank you for listening to my music. I am really happy to have people from other countries hearing my songs. I wish you all happiness and I hope to see you very soon.
