Entrevista banda Bob K - English version

ZAPPHY – We have received and reviewed your new album (Fragile) and as I have stated, it is a very good album. But why did you guys choose the name “Fragile” for an album that, musically speaking, it is very strong and very well produced?

bob K/Peter - most of the songs are of personal matters and the album one could say a reflection of life. And sometimes you just realize how vulnerable you are.

ZAPPHY – Some bands or artists don’t like much to be compared to other bands. What about Bob K? I ask this because there are a lot of people and people from the media that compare you guys to U2 or Coldplay. Does it bother you?

bob K/Peter - Well, good question! In one way it's flattering but then it's not an easy thing to live up to, right? Some of the greatest bands ever.. We're not trying to be a copy of any band. We just wanna make great music and it's an ongoing process in order to find 'the ultimate sound'. Maybe soon bands will be compared to bob K..?

ZAPPHY – Although it was the first time that I heard your sound, when reading about the band, you guys have many other albums that are unknown to many people not only here in south America (Brazil) but in the USA. Why is it, right now, today with the internet, so difficult to make the work reach millions?

bob K/Peter - It's the first time that we really try to go international. Internet is a great tool but there is a lot of great bands still to be discovered, you're not alone trying to get the attention.

ZAPPHY – How is the relation with the radio stations in Europe? I ask this because the Fragile album has many great songs that can be easily played in any pop or rock station. How has the media, in an overall, accepted this last work from you?

bob K/Peter - Fragile has received a lot of positive response and some of the songs are being played on different radio stations. But we're still waiting for the BIG breakthrough!

ZAPPHY – Something the really bothers me is the fact that there are so many good bands, but the radios still playing the obvious. In your opinion, will the internet be THE alternative for the radio stations or do you think that it must come something new… a new way to reach people?

bob K/Peter - Yeah, a lot of the radio stations just play the latest hits from the biggest stars and bands over and over again. Not to 'exciting' I've gotta say, but it is what it is. I sure think the internet holds the future.

ZAPPHY – I didn’t notice, maybe I am wrong, but I haven’t noticed a DVD, only CDs… is that correct or are you guys planning a DVD to come out soon?

bob K/Peter - Keep your eyes open..

ZAPPHY – Getting back to the U2 and Coldplay matter, if possible or asked, what songs from them would the band be interested to play a version or a cover?

bob K/Peter - 'Love is Blindness'/U2 would be fun to make a cover of and 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' is my favorite song from Coldplay.
